Well,it’s been 10 days since I started the test to see if I can get slicksurface.ca to outrank slicksurface.com…

Frankly, I haven’t done much to push slicksurface.ca as a domain - it really needs some inbound links from sites other than slicksurface.com (particularly from Canadian sites) but I’ve been busy with other projects (like the medical thesaurus I just put up).

So far, the only area where having slicksurface.ca is showing up as a benefit is if you choose the “Search… Pages from Canada” option - then you get pages from slicksurface.ca when nothing would show up from slicksurface.com. All in all, the google.com index and the google.ca index appear to be pretty much the same.

The ultimate test is for slicksurface.com to outrank slicksurface.ca for the same query when searching on google.ca. So far that’s not happening.

But it’s just been 10 days and I haven’t done much to make it happen…
