If you've never done well for a term then it's probably bot traffic. HOWEVER... In Google Analytics the "source" is the first referrer, as a result, you can see current traffic on terms that you used to rank for, or <a href="http://www.slicksurface.com/blog/2007-08/google-analytics-reporting-visits-from-sites-that-no-longer-exist" rel="nofollow">referrals from sites that no longer exist</a>.
