Slicksurface developed MDMedicalPhotography.com to meet the promotional needs of medical photographer Michelle Del Guercio. As a medical photographer Michelle serves a niche market and the Internet is an optimal way to promote her business.

Her photos depict a view of health care and medicine that is gritty and realistic, yet affirming. Slicksurface designed a cutting-edge site for her that showcases the stunning quality of her photographs. We also worked with her to get her site ranked well on search engines to insure that it generates the maximum traffic possible.

Large Biotechnology Firm, Thousand Oaks, CA

In 2001 Slicksurface worked on a large intranet project for the Human Resources department at the world's largest biotechnology firm. The application that Slicksurface worked on was a 360° performance review survey tool which collected more than 40,000 surveys during a 3-week period in December.

MediMedia

MediMedia, which has more than 30 subsidiaries worldwide, is one of the world's largest providers of health care materials and services. Prior to 2002 they were a division of Vivendi/Universal (the parent company of Universal Studios). SCP Commuications

SCP Communications was a medical publishing company with offices in 3 states. It was involved in the publishing of medical journals and custom projects, the administration of clinical trials, and the coordination of both promotional and non-promotional meetings and workshops for medical professionals.

SCP played a special role here at Slicksurface, as it is both a client, and a past employer for Jay Harper and Dan Wong. While at SCP we worked on substantial projects for many major pharmaceutical companies, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, GlaxoWellcome, SmithKline Beecham, Abbott Laboratories, and Ortho-McNeil.

Roche Pharmaceuticals

In the autumn of 1994 Jay Harper developed an inventor- control database to meet the needs of the Creative Services Department at Hoffman-La Roche. The application was used to track and schedule trade show display equipment owned by Roche.

By having the ability to instantly know where every piece of equipment was at any given point in time, Roche was able to lower equipment and coordination costs.
