About Troll

History

Troll is a 1974 C&C 30, hull #249, built in December 1973 in Niagra-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

Her first owner owned her for only a year (1974-1975). During that time she was named L'Avenir, which is French for "The Future".

Her second owner gave her the name Troll and owned her for the next 25 years, until we purchased her in December of 2000. He maitained her quite well - repowering her in 1985 and fully repainting her in 1997. While he owned her she was moored in Northport, Long Island during the summer, and toward the end she was actually kept outside their home (also in Northport) over the winter.
